TCL UHD110"

A sculptural statament.

When an electronic device takes an architectural scale is time to re-think the product identity, design, and materials. This world first 4K 110INCH curved tv is a sculptural statement. A vast electronic device that seamlessly integrates into the home environment, becoming a structural and functional piece of furniture. Crafted in natural materials such as wood and concrete blending in with the furniture, a balanced mix between the cold electronic world with the warmth of the home design. Conceived as a 360° design piece, this TV hides away all the mechanical details, with no screws and connectors visible, clean, and straightforward—an unique cinematic experience created by the curved panoramic screen, central woofers, and side speakers.

360 DESIGN

Every detail was carefully designed to create a unique and outstanding masterpiece. There are no visible screws, no visible plugs, every single connector, and cables hidden away to reduce the clutter and simplify the user experience.

BUILDING THE IMPOSSIBLE

110 inch is a massive TV, regardless of where you install it, it would impact the space perception. We conceived it as a hybrid between a piece of architecture and a consumer electronic device. To gain a quick understanding of the scale, we worked with 1:1 rough mock-ups before moving forward with the opportunity exploration and sketches. From the very beginning, the design and engineering team also engaged with cross-functional teams and material suppliers to optimize the design for manufacturing. Wood and concrete are unconventional materials for this industry, they are by nature, hard to control with millimeter precision, but the result is fantastic.
